Starting from a famous painting, the graphic layers on a modern expression and motifs in the hands, and drawings by Yoichiro Uchida added on top give the familiar image a different look.

Innocence, unease, and a provocative mood are layered over the quiet feel of the original portrait, so several viewpoints cross within a single work.
